Test4Pay

The lead admin behind the Test4Pay harm reduction program, going by the Dread name Steveirwin has mysteriously disappeared, and with it has gone over $16,000 of donations. Did he get stung by a stingray, or is something more sinister afoot?

Dread administrator Paris declared that there was a strong reason to believe that Steveirwin was arrested in early October 2023, although nobody has been able to verify this. What we do know is that Steveirwin had not been online for around 3 weeks at the point this post was made.

Until this relevation, Test4Pay was considered to be one of the most successful harm reduction programs on the darknet, offering trusted users an opportunity to get drugs tested in return for their expenses being covered. This in turn would ensure that test results from could shared with the wider community, and those vendors selling tainted products would be called out and publicly shamed. This in turn could save lives.

Test4Pay operated initially in Australia, but expanded to Canada, the USA, the UK and Europe. It had been supported by a number of high profile players in the darknet space, with Abacus Market in particular showing their support by donation $7,000 to the project.

Whether Test4Pay continues under new administration or an alternative service is formed is yet to be seen. What we do know is that this is a sad day for the darknet community, with a very valuable harm reduction resource having been lost, at least for the time being.
